my manager wants us to stop giving out trenta ice waters, but keeps giving local cops their orders for free (self.starbucksbaristas)

and not just like a hot or iced coffee, like multiple teas and lattes, and she gives them free or discounted every time. but said no more trenta ice waters, and no one can figure out why.

Maybe because you guys get less stock of trenta cups and she doesn’t want them being used on a drink that’s free

if she explained that i'd understand, but she just told a bunch of people "no more trenta ice waters" and no one can understand why, including the ssv's and borrowed partners

There is a regional shortage of Trent a cups in my region also that shouldn’t be linked to free drinks for officers it’s probably not a money thing but a stock thing summer creates a drain on larger ice cups

From when I was partner back in 2010 the rule was a tall or grande ice water only. Now at my store we don’t give Trenta especially if they don’t buy anything!

i've worked at 3 different stores in the past year and 90% of the waters i've given out have been venti or trentas... and none of my other managers have said anything. i could maybe get behind it if they weren't buying anything, but most of the people who ask for them ARE customers, so i just don't know why i'd tell them no. it's just water.
