The plexiglass shields on bar are nothing more than useless safety theatre and are actually keeping us from doing our jobs quickly and effectively. I’m around my partners all day and a shield that sticks out a foot from the bar isn’t keeping us from spreading germs to eachother ✌🏼 thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Ours arrived. The only way to attach it will prevent bar 1 from accessing syrups and the ice bins. Like, da fuq?

We had to rearrange our entire set up so that both bars have their own sets of syrup now. And DT bar can’t get to the sink or ice bin without going around the shield, standing in cafe bar space and being all up in the business of their partner. So again I say, what the hell is the point?? 🙃🥴

Same with ours! My store manager had me hold it in place so she could take a picture to prove to our DM that it just wasn’t going to happen. I really hope he doesn’t make us use it :/

ah ha ha, we had our for about 2 weeks and it broke in half the other day bc one of my shifts ran into it with a pastry cart 💀💀💀💀

We need protection from the customers, not each other. Our BOH/bar area is so small, no matter where we are, we can’t social distance from each other. I want protection from the customers who refuse to wear their masks properly or at all, hover over us, try to talk to us AROUND the plexi, basically treat us like food and drink dispensers instead of actual human beings. I would give anything to have our lobby closed again. Those were the days.

I agree I feel like I’m dodging bullets from the matrix when I’m on bar to get syrup and use the other other machine. And go slower... steam milk “ dodge my upper body back”” regroup then again lol

Our bar is too shallow to allow the divider to sit without like a foot and a half hanging out into the space above the milk fridge. We took it down right away because our shift slammed her head into it while restocking. 💀💀💀

I swear it pushes us CLOSER. If CS comes through to do their thing, and we have one or two on hot bar, and one on fraps, everyone is going to be within an inch or touching
