How to politely tell a customer to leave the store(self.starbucksbaristas)

I be having customers who would pick up their drink, chill right near to the door and sip on it while lowering their mask from time to time for a couple of minutes.
How do i tell customers like this POLITELY to pick up and go? I was almost about to tell a customer to go but he left before I got the chance too.

I always start by asking them if they’re waiting for a food or drink item, and then if they say they’re not, just say, “Oh, okay, unfortunately / due to the pandemic / due to local health ordinances (pick your fav), we can’t let you in the lobby unless you’re waiting for your order. We really appreciate your understanding.”
That’s usually enough to get them to leave. If it’s not, then I have another one of my coworkers go through the exact same script until they get it.

sweetie it's not how you say it at all they'll still be assholes to you no matter if you slap on the nicest smile, the sweetest voice and tell them what you need to say.

Im fairly sure my usual "hey, guys, Im sorry but ya'll can't hang out in here" isn't quite as polite, especially when I sound exasperated and am shouting through a mask but it's effective.... lol.
Usually though, "Im sorry but you can't really stay in here" is effective enough.

i ask them if they’re waiting for something. then they say no, so i say they aren’t allowed to stay in the store after they’ve gotten their food/drink.
