The thing is, if you want the benefits Starbucks corporate offers (free tuition, good and cheap insurance, multiple free drinks a shift and a free food item, free Spotify, free therapy sessions, etc.,) go corporate and take the lower pay. If you don’t need or want any of those benefits, you’ll make more at the kiosk and maybe face less stress.

Idk....I work in a kiosk within a Fred Meyer/Kroger grocery store and I’d be leery of going to a corporate store for a couple of reasons. Currently, I’m a 2 yr Kroger employee, so my pay is $5/hr or more than it would be if I started over at a standalone sbux, plus I have health insurance, etc. so, I’d compare wages/benefits before making decision.

Secondly, the drive through/cafe sbux around the corner from us does much more business so you might find yourself struggling if you’re used to a slow kiosk location. Time does go by faster, but being slammed for hours at a time is exhausting!

As far as shitty, entitled and snobbish custies go....it’s Starbucks, lol! Thats kinda our customer base, unfortunately!
