I've seen a lot of people who self demote drop back to starting barista pay. So not just a paycut...the biggest paycut possible. Make sure you put your pay when demoting at the top of the conversation. If your sm "isn't sure what it will be" or "I'll find out after I process your demotion " then you can be sure it's going to be low.
