Kiwi refresher recall? (self.starbucksbaristas)

Just wondering if anyone knows the reason for the kiwi refresher base recall. Is this happening anywhere else? I also heard that the launch set for tomorrow (7/7/20) has been pushed back indefinitely. I mean it doesn't matter why, i am just curious.

I’m not sure but I like to say it’s because it was nasty. Hopefully they’re changing the flavor or something. Tastes like green apple.

It tasted like apple for you?! I swear that tasted like what I imagine pee would taste like, and the smell is horrible too! I kept my mouth shut every damn time someone inquired us about it, whole time I was thinking “it is GROSS”

So basically they sent out inconsistently flavored batches and most of them were horrible? I mean, that sounds like it could be right, but like, c'mon Starby's you should know how to do this by now.

I thought it was the dehydrated fruits that were recalled. A few people at my store tried the base and said it was sour, but I never got to try it.

The dried fruit pieces are godawful. Like tiny little cut up dish sponges.

My SM told us that our store isnt selling it because there isnt enough of it to sell. I think its depending on where you are.
