So I’ve been working at Starbucks while I take time off of school, and I’ve decided that I want to go back to school for the Spring 2021 semester. my school is in upstate NY; I currently live & work in mass. My manager knows this is my timeline, but I’m just wondering when I should start actively looking into transferring & communicating w managers & stores in the area of my school. I’ve read it can take like months to transfer sometimes, so I just want to make sure the transition is as smooth as possible.

an added detail: I just transferred to my store from another one in my district, it was kind of a last minute thing in response to staffing changes bc of the COVID options we were all offered. I’ve heard that you need to work at your store for 6 months before you can transfer so would that still apply in my case?
