Accidentally threw an iced latte into a car today (self.starbucksbaristas)

Theres a customer who does regular mobile orders. I love her, shes always so nice and one of my favorites. Well.... I guess I was too excited today. I went to hand out her drink and I THREW IT ON HER AND INTO HER CAR. She cracked up laughing (it actually wasn't that much that spilled but oh boy) and said "IT WAS LIKE A TIDAL WAVE" and that made me laugh so hard along with her. We were both just dying laughing that I threw like an ounce of her drink at her. She wasn't mad at all and took the drink and left after we helped her clean up. I cant wait to see her again next time I work. I will try not to throw her drink on her again.

Right before that, my coworker was on dto and a different customer was like "I have a mobile order for x" and my coworker said BLURG over the speaker because it spilled on her

One time, I went to rinse a pitcher while on cafe/mobile bar (closest to handoff and long before COVID plexis), and I somehow missed? but also didn't miss. Weird physics aside, I ended up spraying a jet of water up into the air and down onto a customer waiting at the hand off. Luckily, I was feeling witty that day and just said, in my best announcer voice, "welcome to the Rainforest Cafe, folks!" I'm pretty sure thats the only thing that saved my ass because this customer just starts CRACKING UP. By the end of the excitement, her and I were both in tears from laughing and I'm just glad she had a good sense of humor.

Takes me back to the time I went to rinse something and instead SHOT WATER INTO MY EYE not just once but 3 times in a row (3 different attempts) and this man just stood there staring at me the whole time in awe of my disaster

Literally my worst fear. Once this lady had ordered like 3 cake pops after I had rung her up and gave her her drinks. So I went to go get them for her but then when I came back she had spilled her americano all over her car and a bit on her and my shift had her come in and what not and he gave her a gift card and remade her drink and he was about to file a injury report or whatever. But ughh. I felt bad and it wasn’t even my fault.

I have watched many people spill their drinks by hitting them against their car because they aren't careful. I used to feel bad but its so often that now im just like THIS IS YOUR OWN FAULT and I move on.
