So apparently we're getting a new POS system in the next couple weeks. We've been given a few videos and a few interactive training games to prepare us but I'm still not looking forward to re-learning a new system. Has anyone used it yet? Is it good?

My store’s switching a week tomorrow so I can hopefully tell you more then (if that’s before when your store switches over)! But for now all I’ve heard is it’s going to have us doing away with sharpies and we’re going to have sticker print outs for every order. The training portal apps have some games and info but it’s not really clear. My manager said we’re not expected to understand it completely or be able to go fast on it etc to begin with and bosses will understand if we’re slower because obviously 1. covid and 2. it’s a whole new system. Overall I have the same feeling as you tbh, really not looking forward to relearning how to do everything, and the training app definitely felt more confusing than the current system.

Nope, we still use cup markings. Imo they're actually a lot easier/quicker to read than the mobile order stickers, but it will make serving customers a lot quicker so I'm not sure how I feel about switching to them yet.

My manager has told us we need to finish all the attensi stuff by the 28th so I'm assuming that's probably when we'll be getting it. I did wonder why you had to type in the customer name, but guess it would make sense if we're getting sticker printers for pos sales. From what I can tell, all the drinks that aren't the popular drinks are going to be buried inside menus. Same with the less popular customisation options. And the 'save order' button is gone from the main screen. :/

My store is really busy at the moment so learning a new system on top of dealing with a massive queues both inside and outside the store is a going to be a nightmare.
