Please wear a mask BEFORE ENTERING THE STORE! (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by MemesandSpeech
Had a regular coming into the store without a mask.... just like storming in like he in a rush. Me and the others spotted this and we told him that we can't take his order. So he gives us a little smart mouth attitude and sits down (When there are signs saying there are no seating / not allowing to sit) and goes through his bag for a couple minutes till he whips it out. "Oh now I got a mask, see? Is there gonna be a problem ordering?" like if you seen the sign and came here multiple times BEFORE, why couldn't you just put on the mask BEFORE coming in like the other times?

(Bonus) Also if you come in and suspect for free drinks cause "This guy does it all the time", what makes you think I will?

Him - "He's tall, got that hair everywhere, you know who I'm talking bout right?"

Me - "No?"

Him - "Oh well he always gets me for it."

Me - "Well he's not here so........"

\*Rolls eyes and leaves\*

(Bonus BONUS) Also I just noticed I'm growing a Lil more backbone than before...shocking since I'm still shy....

Ok I've noticed that I've been getting more bold with talking to customers lately. I think because of everything that's going on I just don't have a lot of patience to go around atm and the snarky entitled customers don't get to take from my very limited supply. Sorry not sorry 🤷🏼‍♀️ maybe I should have always been this way 😂😂 it has honestly been so refreshing.

I’ve noticed that too! But I’ve also noticed I’m far nicer to customers who try being nice to me. Order a grande nitro when all of a sudden our marching goes down? Bam. Venti cold brew, no charge.

I can't do it less I want to get the cold stares from my partners saying I should had ringed it right / charge her / extra ice, etc.

Same, the only time now I feel down now is if I'm on my register and can't find the drink the customer is trying to order for more than 2 minutes...that's when i go back to shy / nervous and overthinking of trying not to mess up through the rest of the day. (I tend to overthink and If I feel like I messed up on something my straight talk goes down to quiet .\_.)

Be bold with customers, pandemic or not - I spent over a decade in food service as a pretty shy, anxious and go-out-of-the-way to please person to recognize when I don’t have to be. Stay safe!!

I’ve caught myself saying “well, I’m sorry that you feel that way” a lot more lately...
