I wonder if there’s a passive aggressive way to tell her she’s being a nuisance lol

Seriously!!! We have a guy that reloads 10$ every single day and spends 10$ every single day. Like just reload 100$ and be done with it already... 🙄

It doesn’t take very long to reload someone’s card. If Starbucks allowed people to just scan their app instead of having to spend money through it to get points she’d probably pay you in cash but she’s kinda forced to go through that medium. And as other people have mentioned, it’s a good way to not go over your head in terms of budgeting. It’s easier to spend money when you’re not physically holding it in your hand and having to give it away.

It's a way to budget. I don't like giving any company more money than I need to. You certainly can't get it back if you wanted access to it.
It's not that big of a fuss in the grand scheme of things. While it'd be nicer if she did the $5 reload in app, it's also a great way to still get the points.

It's a way to be more aware of how much you're spending. If you load more, you don't think about the amount each time you order, you only notice when you have to reload.
You can do it all in one transaction anyway so it isn't terrible complicated.

I get that it’s good to track money, but i have a customer like this too. I’ve encouraged her to load more and she just says no.

I have regulars like this, and I used to do it before I uninstalled the app. I just meant I don't see it as a hassle at all 🤗
