Termination for something like this is highly unlikely. This is a lot different than just posting about frustrating things that happen or publicly disclosing corporate communications. This is just using your voice. They would face so much heat for termination over using your voice to express concerns about your safety and the safety of others. The worst that will happen is you’ll be ignored. Besides, terminating 4000 employees at once is a move even starbucks wouldn’t survive.

If it got out that Starbucks was terminating baristas for signing a petition it would be such a black eye for the corporation. People would be tweeting and posting like crazy and they would look like such assholes. No one wants that kind of reputational risk — that’s very costly.
