there was FINALLY a change for the better today. (self.starbucksbaristas)

so lately my store has been horrible. our “lead” shift had some vendetta against me and my manager didn’t like me either. i wasn’t getting promoted to anything, not even trainer, and it’s been over a year since i’ve been there. i was ready to transfer stores.

but today, i feel so much better. to start, the shift was horrid. it was so odd and hectic with my manager putting herself in the way to put up new shields and stuff. emotions were high bc some rough conversations were had. perfect recipe for disaster.

usually, my anxiety takes over and i get nervous and such. but today everyone was miserable so i wanted to just be happy and try to make everything better. for whatever reason my anxiety was under control.

after the shift was over, both the shift and manager from above came up to me and thanked me for being the anchor of the morning. my manager also asked me to start doing clean play and tips every week bc she wants to try out giving me responsibilities (it’s about time).

idk i’m just glad things seem to be coming together better and that i’m not hated anymore. it feels so much better to be at work.

Ugh, don't you just hate those days where your body decides its not going to douse you in the anxiety chemicals cause you have to ask yourself "well why can't you be like this every day? And don't you go telling me that things got so bad that I managed to force myself into radical acceptance because tomorrow is still going to happen."
