Oof. That felt nice. Good luck today, partners, on yet another happy hour. I hope you all take care of yourselves ♥️(i.redd.it)

but don't worry we're putting up more plastic dividers between baristas, because our biggest threat is each other, not the hundreds of people we have zero understanding as to their risk factors and have zero accountability.

i work at a licensed store (actual store with a dt so we participate in happy hour), so thank you for using your voice when we can’t 💞

Not to mention October is coming up, so all of the managers vacation hours don’t roll over. So managers keep taking a vacation every month while the store suffers. My manager hasn’t updated pars in 6-8 months and keeps getting mad at me for ordering to par, while simultaneously understaffing me on opening shift and scheduling me with nothing but new people. Meanwhile I have a 3 year old at home that I’m terrified of getting sick.

My new manager came to our store in March and has had 2 vacations already. I made sure our pars were updated, and I got a text while at work that my 9 yo was running a fever, had a headache, and sore throat. Thankfully it’s only strep. Never did I think I would say that.

Literally made frappucinos for 5 hours straight last Thursday. Sales were up 40% compared to last year. :) I've never felt so overwhelmed.

I made a comment about happy hour being ridiculous at this time over the headset and one of my SSV's told me, "If you have a problem with happy hour, fill out your weekly survey". Ugh.

Hopefully it was a "use your voice" comment and not a "stop complaining to me" comment.
spicypotatogurl5 points3y ago
No it was a "stop complaining to me" comment 🙃😑

Your SSV needs to have some more empathy
spicypotatogurl1 points3y ago
He's very "by the book" type. Sooooo not really much sympathy there.

I feel for you all. Our store closes at 2pm currently, but likely changing to 3pm next month. Hoping they stop Happy Hours and everyone is staying as safe as possible. (SM for a licensee store)

I’ve been loudly saying things along the line “How many more people need to die so people start staying inside?” only to be met with endless lines of frappuccinos. People are shameless.

I haven't received one of these since I left a very, very negative 'review' some weeks ago.
