anyone else constantly have to run dt by themselves? (self.starbucksbaristas)

when i was first hired back in january, my manager had me register train by taking DTO since we are a high volume store and it would require me to memorize the register really quickly. it worked. then about a month in i was constantly assigned drive thru all by myself with no window person, and occasionally i would also have to be my own warming person as well. in most situations i don’t really mind this; it makes the time fly and customers tend to be more sympathetic when they see there’s just one person back there. it just seems weird that i’m given this two/three position role constantly. anyone else get stuck in this boat?

Usually there’s only a DTO during peak and then after that DT is a one person role. My store also only has someone on warming until a little after peak as well. In the evenings it’s usually one person doing like 4 roles since it’s less busy and there’s more to get done in the store.

Depends what shift you're working, in the afternoons/evenings, this is standard, but not during peak.
Eventually you'll be soloing DT+bar to cover someone's break, that's when the real fun starts.

I run my shift this way, but I assign warming to front since we have a super slow lobby the rest of the day. That being said, I always tell my baristas that they’re welcome to request a different position if they are tired of one and I do my best to accommodate. Hopefully they can give you a break and put someone else there.

My store is DT only. We really only have 2 people on DTO/DTR and a warming for peak, most of the time it's solo DTO/DTR/warming but we try to help each other out. When we close it's usually just 2-3 of us including a shift. It's stressful for me too 😵

Honest question then.The other morning my ssv made me dto and window no biggie then she also made me do my own warming and do drive bar with no support as I’m drowning and my coworkers have like no mobile orders or cafe orders is this normal?
