Yeah, every Friday we get a mobile order from a pharmaceutical pusher that is 18+ drinks and some pastries. It gets pushed through as multiple different orders because apparently she can only mobile order 15 drinks at a time. Sometimes they call the order in from the doctors office with 25 drinks and 25 pastries and she just drops by to pickup and pay. It really makes you question the medical industry. Once she even picked up caffeine for 3 different offices on the same day. My old store had a standing order from one of the big health clinics in town. They'd just call and say "someone is coming to get drinks for *clinic name* in 30 minutes. " We would grab the sheet and make the 20 drinks. It was a different drug pusher every time. Apparently if they didn't bring coffee for the whole staff then the doctors wouldn't listen to their drug spiel.

Did they want all those bagels toasted?

I had a man come through and order $150-200 worth of drinks and food everyday for a week in the middle of summer peak. He would also get to the window and hand out all of the drinks and food to his passengers in the VAN he brought through, hand back all of the bags and refuse drink holders. I’ve never been so close to blind-rage murder.

I had a lady in front of me in the drive thru when I went to get my markout when the whole free drink and food item thing started. It was at a store I didn’t work at and I was in no hurry but she felt bad for making a $100 order and paid for my stuff too lol I gave my markout to the car behind me.

Stg if people don’t start just going to the grocery store...like please I’m begging

The warmer must have been so panicked as each sticker came out, but so relieved once seeing what was printed. "Oh thank god it's just someone who wants eleventy hundred cream cheeses."

I once had a lady call ahead and ask for 3 travelers and a dozen breakfast sandwiches. Granted it was for the firefighters of the town who had to deal with some nasty fires in the area and I was happy that she was doing something so kind, but I will admit it was a little frustrating to complete the order in the middle of the morning peak.

We managed to get it all done when she came in to pay, but GOD at what cost?

The best part is that labor is given based off customer transactions, so you roughly earned the equivalent of 1 customer of labor.

RIP Drive times

Every year the hospital nearby has something going on where for a week straight a dr drops off a list of 20+ drinks on a sheet of paper, pays, then leaves and comes back when they're ready. This is always during the end of morning peak, for a week straight, different drinks each time.

Omg someone came through the drive thru today and got 8 toasted bagels with cream cheese, 4 cheese danishes, and eight cappuccinos. Plus other little items. Bruegger’s is about 2 minutes from here, which makes it even better.

We used to get these when I delivered for Potbelly but it was much better because a) it was a delivery and not a dang drive thru b) I got to leave the store to do it and c) they usually tipped pretty well.

I'm sorry you had to deal with this. We occasionally get $60 DT orders at my beach store and it's... tough.

Holy moly!! I swear we are busier and have bigger orders than ever, I’m a 228, just got my 4 year pin, so I’ve been around for a min and this is crazier than we have ever been unless it’s game day, I’m in a university city

That’s a big order!!! I suppose the bright side is that it could have been worse. Quick drinks to make and those pastries heat up relatively quick. Still sucks to have that through the drive thru though.
