I opted for option 2 and am getting called back to my store early. I’m really not stoked about it since I have a lot of family who are immuno compromised and a 3 year old. My boss told me there were other people on the list but I was first since the other partners may be sent to another store.
Anyway, my manager told me “no one at our store has gotten it and if it makes you feel better, no one has been tested!”
So you’re telling me that there are partners there that have been working this whole time without being tested?? And that’s supposed to make me feel better? I have a few partners on social media and there are quite a few who have not been isolating. Going out all the time, hanging out with friends, no masks in sight.

Idk, I think all partners should have been tested at least once through this whole thing..

I went option 1 because I needed the money in the long run. Almost immediately wanted to go back and pick option 3, with the state of things, happy hours, no hazard pay, and an increase in disrespectful customers, I'm at my limit.

Good luck, fuck this corp, stay safe above all else.

My AM sent out a text the day before deadline and told us it was our last chance to change our mind so I actually opted for option 3 bc I KNEW I’d get called back early. I called and texted and didn’t hear back til the next morning (after the deadline) and was told it was too late.
The no hazard pay and happy hour is absolutely ridiculous. All my partners talk about how SB has done so much and takes such good care of our partners but they can’t even provide actual, safe face masks!
I’m fed up at this point too, I’m tempted to just not show up and hopefully get fired so I can receive unemployment🙃

It’s not standard for any partner to be tested just for working.
ETA not saying it’s right. Just it is what it is currently.

That level of ignorance about the virus doesn't give me comfort. Getting negative tests would, but lots of places you still can't get tested.

I would tell the SM that you're only comfortable coming back if everyone in the store strictly is following safety procedures: everyone hand washes at least every 30 minutes, partners are wearing masks correctly, and requiring customers to wear masks, you have the right to refuse service is someone is not wearing mask, etc.

I live in Washington and there are a surprising number of drive through testing in my area so there really no excuse. I think personally think it should be mandated at least once a month for service workers since we are the ones putting our life on the line for their stupid fucking frapps🙄

I agree, even though my interactions with customers are brief, I interact without about 1000 customers every day. One sick partner could be a super spreader event.

I think your SM meant that nobody has tested positive

No, when I asked her to reiterate she said that no one has told her that they have gone to get tested not that they came back with a negative

Try to call pcc and apply for emergency FMLA if you have no one to care for your child. It grants 2 weeks unpaid and then 10 weeks at 2/3 pay. Idk if it will work for us, but my friends at Target and Ulta were able to since almost all our day cares are still closed
