No Shoes, No Shirt Policy? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by sneksnoodles
Canadian partner here, this question has been driving me nuts lately! I've looked online for this policy and all I can find is the Starbucks employee dress code.

I know for health reasons no shoes is definitely a no-no, but what about no shirt? For both women and men. What is Starbuck's stance on that? I understand it's summer time but is it considered to be taboo to tell people to wear shirts if it makes baristas and other customers uncomfortable? How would we even approach that subject with a customer? I know it's not my place to tell them what to do with their bodies, but in a professional setting (café) does that change?

Just lots of guys and gals coming in sans-top and would love to get an answer to this question burning in my mind!

I’m a US partner in the south (where is way too hot and people like to do what they please) and I have definitely heard my SM say that we are no shirt/no pants/no shoes, no service. I believe she meant Starbucks as a company when she said that. Maybe call partner resources and ask just to clarify? Or ask your SM
