Find some time before or after a shift to talk with your SM, or let them know ahead of time you need to talk to them when they have a minute. Address your concerns.
If they want you to be a competent employee, the need to give you the tools and resources to develop those skills.

I could so relate, ask to get on bar each shift you can. It's all about practice, granted I still have heart palpitations when I get more than two fraps I'm definitely better barista now. Asking shifts for help has also been very beneficial.

At my store I was on reg and warming for my first 7 months until a new girl was hired and they were forced to take me off reg, its so frustrating:( I recommend talking to your store manager and if she doesn't budge ask your shifts for bar time if its not super busy.

If you have a shift you’re closest to, tell them you want bar time when they’re the shift. Say you’re tired of drive thru. I probably was constantly put in DT for like my first five or six months until I started pestering them for bar time. Once you’re on bar enough and prove yourself worthy then you’ll get more bar time.
