We had a district shortage of refreshers for half of this past week and it was wonderful. 😊
Of course, now we're running out of food by 11am because of store closures in the area.😑

Yo what?? I worked today at Tarbucks all alone & had 8 girls coming in, all ordering ridiculous secret menu drinks from TikTok. If I refused a guest my manager would be livid. Tell me your secrets 😭

Do you really get them that often? I live in a major city, so we’re still in a ‘yellow phase’, and a lot of corporate Starbucks stores only allow mobile pickup. I work at a franchise one inside of a Target, so we’re like… one of the few stores that you can make a personal secret menu/Tiktok order instead of figuring how the modifications work on the app.
Personally, I don’t see the harm. If you’re willing to pay for the extra steps, and you have the recipe to show me if I don’t know exactly what it is, it won’t kill me to go out of my way to make it. A lot of them usually take the same amount of time it takes to any other official drink, and aren’t too many extra steps. They usually only pop up once every now and then, and it’s usually… teens ordering them. Or even young adults. They’re like, the nicest customers. And usually tip well, if they do. I don’t see the harm?

we get them frequently. a few here and there is fine but like when it becomes a problem is when there are multiple within one order, were a semi busy store, and it has a long list of modifications that basically changes the whole drink. this one i posted isnt that bad & would prefer to make this than some of the crazy ass drinks people come up with. its just annoying and can be a nuisance.
EDIT: we dont get paid enough for this shit & actually *working for* starbucks is a whole other story. its so much more frustrating making these drinks when we dont have the support from our company or coverage to run the floor and the way the company is handling the pandemic is worse than hell. so pile these dumbass drinks on top of not having the resources we need, its awful.

I don’t understand why everyone hates making custom drinks. Let people enjoy shit. Jesus fuck

i dont mind custom drinks and this one isnt ***that*** bad but when they change the whole damn recipe & it takes an extra 7 steps thats when i become infuriated. its just time consuming and we do NOT get paid enough for customer bullshit. in my experience, half the time (1) they dont know what theyre ordering (2) expecting something different (3) dont know how to order their drink (4) theres a fuck up somewhere, customer or us, and they get pissed off. just tired of all of this, man.

If baristas wanna share they could at least use the abbreviations so it’s harder for customers to comprehend but allows other baristas to understand. Customers shouldn’t have the audacity to order things like this anyways, this is for other baristas.
