Is there any possibility of a raise in wages? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by The_unsung_ninny
Lately I’ve been noticing other retail/food business raising their wages. With Target raising wages to 15hr across the board and even seeing chick fil a doing the same, I wonder if Starbucks will see this and realize that, maybe JUST MAYBE, the low pay and high work load is one of the reasons more people took the 3rd option than they realized. Maybe it’s just wishful thinking, but my fingers are still crossed.

They offer the therapy instead of the raise in wages. Because the job is so traumatic we need the therapy anyway.

If it becomes more of a thing they will so they don’t look bad. That’s all they care about

fucking lol. They didn't even keep hazard pay despite there being a clear hazard. It's best for you to realize sooner rather than later that no corporation gives a fuck about paying you any more than it needs to keep you alive to come back for tomorrow's shift.

I'd be genuinely surprised
