Happy Hours aren’t cancelled for licensed stores.
Our weekly update just said “review the following documents” and the documents were the barcodes for each happy hour (we print out a coupon to scan each time there is a happy hour).

So yay you!

The Weekly Update for my Target store for June 13th had the August 6th happy hour on there and it was gone on the one I printed today. Only thing on there was a double star day on I believe August 12th. If company stores aren’t doing it there’s no way I’m taking all the customers they’re turning away.

We definitely have. We only have one blender for all the fraps. We don’t have space to keep a lot of extra stuff so we often have to make more whip in the middle of rushes and stuff.
Fun times.

And if corporate is doing away with it, but we aren’t... guess where everyone will go.

I honestly don’t know how it works man, it’s every Thursday and we just push the Happy Hour coupon button when we scan their cards. That’s the reason almost all partners say they’re unavailable on thursdays from 2-7pm so they don’t have to work Happy Hour.

Edit: we just do what we’re told idk maybe this Thursday will be different? Should I reply with an update?

Hours are available by picking up shifts which are tons cause every store needs help, and it is for 1 day like reduced hours will hurt you for that 1 day only

10 stores within 20 miles of mine have closed. A bunch of partners on forced LOA. Not every store needs help. Consider yourself lucky to have that much business. Might not seem like a lot to you, but 5 hours to someone who is only getting 15.... it's a third of their week.

Kevin Johnson gets like 4 million dollars a year (not including the millions of dollars of bonuses) so stop licking the boots of this corporation. Corporate is using you to line their pockets, how can you feel grateful toward them for that? Be grateful to your store managers and fellow partners who are actually out there toughing it out with you. They're the ones pulling together and doing all the actual goddamn work. Think about those fucking people. How inconsiderate.

Who was talking about Kevin Johnson? That guy isn't paying for my college, this company is. I am grateful to them because I will come out of school debt free..... unless they decide to start cutting benefits due to revenue loss. So how about you start being grateful to YOUR fellow partners and work a busy thursday once every two weeks or once a month. It's 5 hours... suck it up and make some frappuccinos so we can all keep enjoying the benefits this company gives us, which are way above and beyond any other retail/foodservice company.

I seriously don't think you understand how companies work. They get extra money from you for going to ASU. They get to keep you there to get more revenue. All that money goes to Kevin Johnson and then gets delegated down to everyone else. Do you really think that an ASU scholarship costs anything to them? This is a multibillion dollar international company. No company that big actually cares about their employees. You think they're personally paying for you to get through college? They dont even care that their partners are getting sick and dying from a PANDEMIC. Theyre safe in their offices. They don't care that extra people are coming into the store and YELLING and fighting people for WEARING A FUCKING MASK. We had to brigade them to let us wear BLACK LIVES MATTER SHIRTS. The "masks" they provide for their employees are SO THIN, YOU CAN SEE LIGHT THROUGH THEM. This company does not give a shit about you. You are a number whi creates revenue to them. Whether or not you're a part of this company they don't care. If they suddenly feel like taking away your scholarship, they'll do it and give you some bullshit excuse as if they're not just trying to line their pockets. This isnt about just "working a busy Thursday." This is about how many desperate people have to work at this shitty job to get a free scholarship or survive on 7 to 10 dollars an hour. There is a pandemic going on and they couldn't even pretend to care enough ONE BIT to send us real fucking masks. We made coffee filter masks a few months ago. Are you forgetting that? Stop pretending that anyone in this company but the partners who know you care about you. Just take your fucking scholarship and leave this shitty company as quickly as you can.

ETA: By the way, happy hour just invites a fucking cesspool of karens and covid carriers to the stores. Think about all the immunocompromised partners who have to work during this. Even that should open your eyes.

It's a shame how much hate you have man. Since you're on this reddit I assume you work for Starbucks.... and my question to you is why? If you hate so much what this company is doing, just keep it moving. If you can find me a company in the retail/food service sector that has a benefits package for their part time employees like Starbucks has, I'll go with you. If you really feel that Starbucks does not care about you, just go stop trying to bring me down with you. You keep mentioning Kevin Johnson like he kicked your dog or something. And news flash: the company gave you a BLM shirt in the end, they saw they did wrong and fixed it. You see anyone at dunkin or mcdonalds or Krispy Kreme wearing one? And I don't know where you live that they pay 7 to 10 an hour, baristas in my district start at 13.65, which ain't too shabby for a part time gig slinging some coffee.
