My wardrobe was a lot of black and white striped shirts, a few gray shirts, a few black t shirts, some nicer shirts with similar colors. I had both short and long sleeved because I get cold easily. Also my SM allowed us to wear t-shirt dresses in the summer because it was super hot. Basically a lot of stripes, black, and gray because it was easiest.
For shoes I’d highly reccomend nonslips because if you don’t have them you will slip lol. I got sketchers work shoes and they were great plus you get a discount. As long as they’re not canvas or mesh you can probbaky find vans and converse that are “work” shoes.

Honestly I just go to goodwill and pick up a bunch of t shirts in black, grey, navy, e.t.c. basically the darker colors in the guide because I'm a mess and will get mocha or matcha on myself. Same with pants, just lots of black pants.
For shoes I have some nonslip restaurant shoes. You can get cheap ones at Walmart but I found them super uncomfortable so I got some doc marten work shoes on sale. I figured for the amount of time I would be spending in them I should get a decent pair

If you can afford them, shoes for crews is an online store that has tons of non-slip options. Would highly recommend checking them out!

I’d really just wear black/grey/navy mostly plain shirts for the first few days (and dark pants. they allow us to wear sweatpants at my location but idk about corporate stores if you work at one.)
But after that? Observe what other coworkers wear. BC now we really just wear anything we want. Flannels, graphic tees, dress shirts, just as long as it’s mid or long sleeved, and the pants are dark/not ripped.
We don’t require nonslips but I’d definitely wear them. Especially around cold bar if some ice gets knocked over and melts on the floor.

go for shirts that are comfortable for you to wear- preferably tshirts in the color range, but there might be some people who dress code you for that. best bet is button up shirts and polos if your store is super strict about it. polka dots and stripes are the best pattern to be looking for as well. for shoes, i’d recommend a leather shoe that’s hard for liquid to get it, it’ll save you in the long run from wet socks!! i have some sketcher nonslips that are okay, but i’ve had to replace a pair already and i’m two years in. go for durable and long-lasting if you can- if you can’t now, get some nonslips that are on the cheaper end and save up for some nice shoes. it really makes a difference!

Black tshirts are a go-to, but I try to switch it up when I'm not feeling lazy. I have a tshirt dress and a black skirt that I like to wear when it's too hot for pants (with shorts underneath). Striped shirts are fun too. I'm looking forward to the outfits I can wear when fall comes around. I usually have cute hairstyles that add to boring outfits, like a bun with a headband, a ponytail with a bow, french braids, etc. I highly recommend wearing nonslip work shoes. I slip around in my vans and I prefer being able to work quickly and efficiently without worrying about falling.

I usually get nuetral colors in t shirts that are stretchy and breathable but make sure they aren't see through. Like athletic tees
