this is gonna be short but i just wanted to talk about how desensitized we get to being treated awful at work. the other day some guy made some gross comments about me, bordering on sexual harrassment, in the drive thru and honestly i didn’t even identify it as harrassment until i told my partners later. when it happened i just thought “another weird customer great” and then later it hit me, “oh i was literally harassed at my place of work” and i hadn’t even thought anything of it. it’s a daily thing and it’s so upsetting to me that we just come to accept it and it’s just some crazy anecdote we get to share later about how we were treated like trash at work and nothings ever done about it.
