So my store had one of the closing crew with symptoms; IE, the entire closing crew who came in contact with them go on two week leave, expected. But because of this we do have to close at 1:30 now and stop grab and go again.

This morning I was opening shift and this man comes up to our side door and reads the sign that says “due staffing shortages, we have had to close our cafe for the next two weeks and continue as drive through only” after reading it he violently shakes the door thinking it will open harder. He then proceeds to the front door, with the same sign and shakes that door. He then comes to the front window smooshes his face against the glass and sees me waving at him with a smile on my face 🙋🏼‍♂️. He comes back to the front door and BANGS so hard I thought the glass might break for a solid 20 seconds as I make a giant X with my arms and shake my head at him 🙅🏼‍♂️. Finally he walks away and I think it’s over.

He then proceeds to walk away vet to my drive through window and stand on the other side of the car that is currently at the window and in front of the 15 car line. He screams from across the pavement “I WANT A GRANDE PIKE WITH CREAM AND 3 SUGARS”. I ignored him as I was currently helping the person at the window bc I saw him walk over and wanted to be the person at the window. After the person went to drive away I told him that he was unable to order that way and he either had to come through the drive through in a car or in the case he had no vehicle if he placed a mobile order I would personally walk it out to him. He screams “MY TRUCK IS TOO BIG AND I DONT WANT TO DOWNLOAD YOUR STUPID APP!” I once again explain that he is holding up my entire drive through line and that there two options I am willing to offer him for ordering but standing in my drive through is not one of them. He then yells “I want a Grande pike with cream and 3 sugars and the other Starbucks let me come in.” I told him “this is not other Starbucks locations, this is my location and we are drive through only and I am giving you a second option as a courtesy, please choose one of these options or I can’t help you”. He then screams “this is F***ing rediculous, you can just let me inside and I’ll pay there”.

I don’t handle being cursed at very well, I looked him straight in the eyes and said “I will not let you in sir and now you have cursed at me, at this point I’m no longer willing to serve you and you must leave, if you do not leave you are trespassing and I will call the cops and have you removed!”

I swear if you’re nice to me I will do everything I can to make the moment right, even if your rude I’ll do my best to try and fix things, but the second you curse at me you are no longer welcome at my store. No exceptions.
