Goodbye to clean employee bathrooms (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by romanianhopscotch
Our patio seating and bathrooms are now open to the public. Thankfully our store is so small we still can’t allow cafe seating.

Not looking forward to sharing the bathroom with every sweaty cyclist who comes in to pee and breath all over the even smaller bathroom.

Anyone else frustrated with this development?

Is this in the USA???

Yes. My manager said the company has been slowly opening patios/indoor seating in stores across the country and that all seating should be open by August 1st. 🤷🏻‍♀️

...I don't know why I still feel surprised every time I hear about the company's continued irresponsible behavior.

Yeah. It doesn’t make sense to me to open it up when case numbers are higher than they ever have been in our state. Like.. why? There’s no other reason to do it except money. Cause customers are sick of not being able to go to the bathroom in our store.

It's always the money. There is absokutely no reason that the cafe should be open at all if there's a DT. I can imagine that there are plenty of customers refusing to wear masks, or perform even basic hygiene, and trying to enforce masks in the store must be impossible without a dedicated "greeter" at the door or something.

LA County is peaking, but sure let’s open the restrooms!

Right?? It’s like why did we even close stores in the first place then. It’s worse than ever - why would that mean it’s time to loosen restrictions?
