Anyone else going thru this disaster? I feel like its a way for starbucks to recoup its lost money thru the corona pay. Hours are cut and it just sucks.

Idk I'm actually scheduled more hours with block than before? It's meant to help keep track of who's worked with who in case someone gets sick and/or contracts covid so that only those partners have to be quarantined and not the whole store.

I’m also getting more hours (more than I want, TBH). It’s a nice theory but it does nothing to address SMs and/or shifts who come in contact across the blocks, people who hang out outside or work, etc.

Are your manager/s staying on the floor? The impression I got when our SM started talking about it was that they (ASMs too) would pull off and be non coverage to “not cross contact the blocks.” But doesn’t that leave the floor without partners... idk.

They are on the floor for their block - our SM works morning blocks and the ASM works evening blocks but they are still in the store doing admin work at other times.

At my store, everyone except our manager is only getting 26-28 hours the week of August 9th. Even shifts. How are we supposed to live off of so little money?
