I second the notion it was the apron’s fault but to be more original I think one of the strings caught on the metal part that sticks out and you kept walking and wabamm! Thar she blew!

oh *hell* nah — I've had a few too many frappuccinos over the years to be pulling a stunt like that on anything mounted to the wall with just a couple of screws. that would've been over before it even *started.* no, i'm just a klutz with no spatial awareness — ripped the whole thing down when i snagged the sleeve of my shirt on it literally *running* past.

I totally understand, I once shut my sleeve in a toddy, and it went everywhere. I'm too clumsy for this job.
