I hear you. It’s unbearably humid today. My jeans Were soaked in sweat.

It took them a week and about 5 different technicians before they finally fixed ours! It was so hot the cake pops were melting!!

My stores AC unit broke on Sunday. 8 straight hours of 98 degree heat. I'm covered in heat rash. It happened last year but this time the company who fixes the unit sent the one guy we always ask not to send because he fixes NOTHING. He came on Tuesday and left to go to another store forcing us to close the store for the day losing business.

the AC at my old store would go out every year. instead of replacing the unit, they would just slap another bandaid on. in 2018, it was up to 91 degrees in the store before 8am, beginning of peak, middle of august in TEXAS, and had 8 partners on the floor. i sweated thru my shorts within the first hour of clocking on and our SM told facilities if there isnt someone fixing the unit within the next hr, shes closing the store. imo she shouldve closed the store before it got that hot

unpopular opinion: starbucks or any corporation doesnt care abt their employees and only says that bullshit as a form gaslighting to keep us from demanding more benefits, higher pay, and better store operations.

my target starbucks is tucked in one of the “red zones” of our store where the AC doesn’t flow that well, so we keep a thermometer on the counter just to see how hot it gets. today’s high was around 90°. we haven’t had an intact chocolate cake pop last more than 1 hour behind the counter for a while lmao

Omg, I’m so sorry you’re having to deal with that! My kiosk has remained open throughout the Covid panic and as the temperatures have climbed, its gotten harder and HARDER to breathe while wearing a mask!😝😱😝
