The things people get upset about: whipped cream (self.starbucksbaristas)

Maybe it’s because I don’t drink dairy milks so I avoid whipped cream, but I do not get people who flip when you leave whip off/forget it/ they forget to order it.
But this is a whole other story.
I get a call today that even starts with “this is such a minor thing, BUT” and continue to hear about how supposedly we have been forgetting or leaving out whipped cream on this customers mocha, she orders it with an alternative milk but with whip, & she goes on & on about how she has not gotten whip in days on her drink. Honestly, now that I think about it, it’s probably just melting in her cup, but I didn’t even say that. I just calmly started explaining this is not intentional by any of my baristas, & that I would love to hear her name, her drink & that I’ll refund her the next time she comes in. She starts explaining that this happens to her all the time though, and even starts explaining “I know Starbucks has this weird conspiracy or something, if you get an alternate milk they don’t put whip on your drinks” & I assure her that my baristas if anything are sleepy because it’s 5 am & we just opened but we will gladly put a note in to make sure this is correct next time & again ask when she’ll next be in so I can refund & THEN she starts asking why I can’t refund her right then & there OVER THE PHONE. This is a regular! At this point I’m just over it i can hear the anger in her voice so I’m out lol I quickly & calmly explain why i can’t do a over the phone refund & she just starts literally full blown ranting about everything now just “if you want to minimize people being in the store so much you should invent a better freaking way to do refunds for mobile customers” & how we keep messing up her orders & how frustrating this is to her & I just let her rant & just apologized & told her I’d refund her next time she’s in. She made a point of asking for my name. Hope to hear what I did wrong soon :) lol
(btw when I told my barista about this she goes “was it Jocelyn? Because I made sure to put whip on it this morning bc this isn’t the first time she complained. It prob just melted” 🤣)

Tbh if someone orders a non-dairy milk over mobile and doesn’t specify whip/no whip, I’ll typically do no whip because it’s easier to add whip than take it off and I’d rather not poison someone who can’t consume lactose but forgot to say anything about the whip.

THE DRINK WAS MADE WITH WHOLE MILK THO :( I was trying to give this assumption bc we do that too & she just kept saying “alternative milk” & today she came back & she straight up does whole milk every time!!
