Only work on two drinks at a time. It may seem like that isn't fast enough but trust me it'll prevent you from messing up or becoming overwhelmed. For example start drink 1 then start drink 2, finish drink 1, start drink 3, finish drink 2 and so on.

• If you’re double baring, maybe try swapping drinks! “Hey I’ll make your frap if you can make this latte?” I always take the more annoying ones (fraps, shakers) because I feel bad, but this can really help making drinks faster and not having to run back and forth!
• sometimes I’ll sacrifice making stuff totally in order so I can make them faster overall. If I have two fraps and a latte, I’ll set up the latte then bust out the fraps (running back to the latte to finish it sometime in between)
• It helps to bunch them up if you can- make a few fraps then a few espresso drinks, then shakers. If you have stickers, I like pulling them all out in order and sticking them to my bar. I’ve found this isn’t as common, but I love seeing all the drinks I have ahead of me! I DO NOT STICKER THE CUPS until I am ready to make those drinks. I find this crowds up my bar and makes me much more overwhelmed. Also, it’s not “clean” to sticker the cups then re-stack them. Overall, it’s helpful for me to see what’s ahead and make a small game plan. (This also helps when you want to swap drinks with other people on bar). Don’t be afraid to swap drinks and ask for a cold bar/more help.
• also realize you get paid the same for the time you work, so ultimately it’s not a huge deal. Obviously, do your best, but understand that quality takes time and you shouldn’t have to beat yourself up about not being lightning fast.
• pro tip- sometimes I like to pretend I’m floating and being *oddly satisfying* while on bar. Can make it a little more fun for you and help with being more fluid on bar
