When I interviewed I said I needed a flexible job with the possibility of health insurance. But your mileage may vary, some managers won't like that amount of frankness.

i said "i see what starbucks does for the community, always providing excellent service and a comfortable environment for people to socialize, work, and create. people come in regularly because they know they will be taken care of and receive consistently great service, and i want to be a part of that."
they liked that answer.

during my interview, i said something along the lines of admiring the values starbucks holds (caring about others/customers, connecting with others, always trying to improve i.e. making new drinks, etc) and that they align with my values as well. but tbf my store had a shortage of staff and my availability was completely open which i think helped a lot

I told my manager “because Starbucks has shown that they seek to retain employees by offering generous benefits such as great health insurance, total tuition reimbursement for a bachelors degree, paid for therapy sessions, and fringe benefits such as a free Spotify membership, free coffee beans to take home, and discounts at many retailers”. My manager was impressed but honestly I think i was hired because my store REALLY needed someone with my availability at the time.
