Either you take the money or I get a free drink. (Grande rant) (self.starbucksbaristas)

Customer ordered a venti caramel frappuccino with an ungodly amount of caramel drizzle.

I had just come back from my lunch and I was taking over for the girl in DTR. She tells me that the guy in the car behind the one at the window is going to be a difficult one.

As the guy pulls up I partially closed the window cause it was raining and he had his wipers going full speed. As he turns them off he keeps laughing and saying he can put the wipers back on at any minute. Not amused with him I give him the total and he pulls out a $50. I ask him if he's got anything smaller and he says no and that I can either take it and make change or he's leaving with a free frappuccino. I ask the girl if she has change in her till before I take his money. As I'm taking the change out of the till I hear him complain about how his arm is getting tired from holding it out of the window.

I hand him his change and drink and as he's leaving the last thing he says is that we've all made him late for work now. As if his bad time management skills are our fault.

People like this just casually ruin your day. Which is wild since they love freebies and you know what’s free? Keeping your mouth shut. 🙄

Sounds like he wanted rolls of pennies and nickles as change

Its wild how many customers make being late for their jobs our problem. Its not my fault I've got two people out sick and you didn't leave in time for work to begin with. 🤷‍♀️
