These are the best regulars. I had several I saw like omce a week for literal years. One of them helped pull me through a rough spot when our staff got demolished in a true series of unfortunate events. Her daughter got cancer and she came in crying one day, I made her drink free, it was a slow morning, and we just sat and cried together for a long time because life and shit isn't fair.

Some regulars need that connection so much and I've grown to where I need it too sometimes. A virtual stranger caring about your wellbeing and life is the best. I still miss my job so achingly for those little lost moments.

It’s my understanding that Starbucks doesn’t say that you can’t have another job at another coffee shop. I’ve worked with plenty of people who had second jobs working at other coffee shops.
