I’m a super long term partner (19 1/2 years) who loved her job before having to become the mask police because people can’t do for 5 minutes what we do all day while sweating over a blender

I see this constantly! It’s so dumb, that’s why it’s on your dumb face!

Seriously!!! So over people taking their mask off when i say i can’t hear them! have none of these idiots taken a theater class? I need you to PROJECT your voice mf not take your mask off! stop whispering & we won’t have a problem

For this reason, and many others, I have never hated people more than working this job.

My favorite is when I ask them to pull their mask up over their nose (roll their eyes while pulling it up), proceed to order in a WHISPER, then get very angry when I ask them to repeat it “see, you can’t even hear me with the stupid mask on anyway!”.... I’d be able to hear you just fine if you talked in your big girl voice, Karen.

And it’s distracting when you’re ordering and it keeps slipping down, down, down below your nose. We do most of our exhalation through our noses so it’s like wearing a condom on your balls. How do you not notice (x 20 customers a day)?

I've had to ask people multiple times to keep their masks on and they pause, still don't pull their mask up over to cover their mouth, and they continue to keep ordering. I've never been more infuriated and wish I just refused service.
