You’re unfortunately wrong.
From Starbucks FAQ:
> With the lobby area being closed during the COVID-19 outbreak, how can I receive a refill?
> While the usual space for customers to enjoy refills is unavailable, we will still honor the refill policy in the Drive Thru.
While written before lobbies were re-opened, I would assume if you emailed Starbucks corporate, they’d say that refills are also available at grab and go locations as long as “same visit” isn’t an option.

Unfortunately Becca at Main Street is right. We can honor refills in DT and in lobby for grab n go currently.

My store just does refills in a separate cup. So basically just a new coffee for .50 lol

Also an important point! Per standard we are supposed to have them save their lid (and straw for cold bevs) and give them a new cup - this has been the case since before COVID. The reason being (at least as I understand it) is that ALL personal cups should be taken to the back and washed in the 3 compartment sink before being given to the bar. However we can’t wash a used paper/plastic cup, so they get a new one for sanitary reasons.
Now; having time to take a personal cup back and wash it before (or during) COVID is another story.....

Perhaps this is just a regional thing then (I live in an area with strict COVID restrictions in place) because we have been scolded many times for this. Same same for providing an entire short cup of cream. And my SM said they agree when I brought it up.
