Transfer request (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by EasternEngineer4
I have been asking my SM for a transfer since October 2019 and have been continuously ignored or given an excuse as to why I can’t. I’ve been with the company now for 2 years. Our district is SEVERELY understaffed due to COVID and the change to block scheduling.

No one in the district will talk to me without my store managers approval to transfer first. How do I go about transferring if I’m consistently blocked by my SM? Also my DM won’t answer or call back anyone but an SM or ASM.

Fill out a transfer request form. Under “reason” state that it’s due to commute and your new store will be closer (find a store that will need a transfer first). If SM says they won’t transfer you, contact PRSC and say that you NEED to transfer due to commute issues.

Why do you want to transfer?

There is a pervasive mold issue due to plumbing issues. I am never communicated with as to expectations and changes. The schedules are being made without regard to availability. Standards as constantly being ignored.

When I try to talk, message, or call my ASM or SM, I am consistently ignored. I became so frustrated in September that 2 coworkers had me committed. $8K & 10 weeks later, I am released to find out they have both moved out of state. All 3 of my therapist advised I need to relocate to a different store due to multiple psychological triggers I suffer from entering That building. I have none of the anxiety or communication issues when I’ve worked shifts in any of the 4 other stores in the area.

When I voiced my concerns and and asked for accommodations for Autism, I was put on an unpaid leave of absence without being consulted. It took filing a formal ethics violation complaint to get my DM to contact me, after a month of no communication as to what was going on or why. To this day I still have never received any paperwork or information from Sedgwick for the month of May.

For the past 4 working months I have not been allowed to do anything but clean play and CS tasks.

Yikes. Have you tried calling the compliance hotline?

All they and my advocate want to do is have me DM contact me. But if they are part of the problem??? I NEED the medical benefits and even w/o covid we are STILL recovering from Hurricane Michael of 2018.
