I’m jealous. We have weird funnel-style drains that the clean play crew needs to dig out a screwdriver for every week, and it’s impossible to get the crevices 😞

So that there’s nothing blocking the water from going in, I assume. Also, you’d want the grate to help prevent things from falling in the drain on the other side.

It could just be the angle! Hurts my brain a lil to look at it this way but you can kind of see how the pipes might be over the open side of the grate

Meanwhile one of our drain pipes got displaced tonight and I didn’t notice until I’d emptied an urn full of rinse water and it was all over the floor 15 minutes after we closed 🙃😭

Ooooh also get the hot water too when clearing it out with rinsing it out. But yeah so many people I know didn’t do the dishwasher and I was like uhmmmm Why scrub when that’s an option and probably will do better than me
