Its because Starbucks doesnt really care much about coffee quality. Its all about the sugar.

When Coffeemaster was a thing, stores were only supposed to have one or two Coffeemaster max. I wanted to take the program while it was still available, but my store had “too many” already so I wasn’t allowed. At least with Coffee Academy, my ability to learn more isn’t dependent on whether too many other people already have that information.
Just be real, you don’t care about the *program*, you only care about the *apron*.

Alas, it’s true. I DO only care about the apron

I mean, it was a sweet apron. I’ll never forgive my manager.

This wasn't originally true, but was implemented later. The first time they squished the CM program.

Your exactly right I care about the apron and I want to get it which is why I created a petition to try and bring it back

I’m so glad I was with Starbucks back when coffee master was a thing and I still have my black aprons and get to wear them :)

Coffee master also came with extra hours and pay incentives as well as compensation for the learning you did as it was on the clock work. Coffee academy is offered freely to both partners and customers and as such their is no pay incentives. Also where the hell is the next round of academy classes? They were supposed to drop in spring?

b-but .. what about the cool black apron? 🥺

It’s about the coffee, not the apron

That’s because Starbucks doesn’t actually care about its employees knowing about the product. They actually just don’t care about their employees...
