Questions about maybe applying to starbucks/starbucks in a store (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by BeneficialPear
Hi all!

I need a second job, and some of the starbucks locations near me are hiring right now. I've got a few questions, if anyone is willing to answer them.

1) Is colored hair ok or should I dye it brown or something?

2) I can't lift a lot. I have an injury from my current job, and can't really do that. Do I need to be able to life 30-50 pounds at once to work here? (I got the injury working in s&r).

Sorry to bother you all!

I rarely lift anything over 20 lbs, then again I’m never at work when the delivery comes

Colored hair is not an issue and technically you do need to be able to lift 30-50 pounds because at times you may be required to help put away the daily shipments and when your role is “customer support” you will have to lift some items such as ingredients, dishes, and supplies. You can apply but if you proceed to the interview I would definitely tell the hiring manager about having a “reasonable accommodation”
