TRENTAAAA sized rant, non-existent mobile order (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by thesirensslave
soooo today was my first day back from my vacation and usually at my store the weekends are the worst. anyways today had kinda set me over the line with customers... idk if all starbucks do this but my store doesn’t take orders over the phone (phone call) so we had someone come through the drive thru claiming to have a “mobile order” but still had to pay for them. (i had a green bean on DTO so she had just sent them right through w/o looking for the name or realizing she needed to place the order which is totally OKAY!) but it was 10 drinks!!!!! so when she got to the window the baristas asked her if she could come inside instead because we were so slammed... she came inside and gave us a hard time.. as i was barring for cafe and mobile she’s standing right in front of me waiting and checking off all the drinks from her list as i came to her last drink i then proceeded to say “awesome here’s your last drink have a lovely day!” and i go back to making drinks (whoop whoop). like 3-5 minutes later i ask “were you waiting on food?” so we could get it out for her and she just went OFFFF she said she had one more drink and as i scrambled through all my stickers i couldn’t find it i quickly asked what it was to make it because HAHA i’m a slave to the siren and customers!! as i was making the drink i just listened to her go off that i was ridiculous for not having her (non existent) mobile order ready and that she called in the morning... (which she didn’t because i’m the opening shift and usually my baristas run questions like that by me first because they’re unsure) and i mean i took it like a champ bc we usually get treated like robots anyways but inside i was having a tiny panic attack because it’s rare for us to have upset customers ): as soon as i got her drink out her mood changed and she happily left... i stood there not even knowing what just happened so confused. i get her frustration i always try and understand how the customer feels but i didn’t get her lol anyways yeah thanks for coming to my TED talk <3
