A customer last week was from out of state and told us how relieved she was to get change back because her state wasn't doing it. She went on and on about how its just another way for the government to track us if we can't use cash or get change back. We were just like 👁👄👁

i hate customers that are like "keep the change :)" no jackass thatll fuck up my till!! youre not being nice by trying to tip 5¢ because youre too lazy to search your car for a few quarters.

You don't have a tip jar? Now that's just weird. Ask your manager if you can keep the change for yourself then. Would make it a hell of a lot easier on you.

A customer accused me of lying to him when I told him we only had pennies and drove off mad because he had to carry 5 pennies in his wallet and not a nickel

We ran out of pennies on Saturday and haven’t got any since as our cash delivery place doesn’t have any 🙃. And of course knowing the siren, we can’t stop taking cash .

I hate how we can’t refuse cash. I went to get gas today and there were signs up saying “exact change or card only”. I wish we could follow suit as it’s losing us money.

Thankfully the change from the tip jar has been supplying our safe. We just exchange the money on tip day.
