I guess I could say the there's gonna be a ton to learn and you're gonna make a ton of mistakes. So don't be afraid to ask questions and try learn from the mistakes instead of getting discouraged

my advice to any newbies: don’t be afraid to ask questions. it’s better to be slower and get things right than to be quick and do it wrong and have to remake it. That goes for ANYTHING— drinks, back ups, teas, hot coffees, cleaning, anything. don’t be afraid to ask questions. I’m a 2.5 year partner and still ask “dumb” questions sometimes. lean on your team & make friends, it’s a lot of fun to enjoy the people you work with! <3

sometimes your coworkers might be annoyed at/mean to you for not knowing how to make some drinks, how to punch things in, being slow, etc, but remember it's not your fault at all! also /r/starbucks and /r/starbucksbaristas are pretty useful if you forget anything
