Regarding the 3 option deal partners we were given in June! (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Ladynaydra
Did Anyone else here take the 3rd option and were promised the severance as well as the rest of your shifts being paid out but then after your termination you were told you couldn’t get either of those. Trying to find someone with a similar situation as mine because I think my manager tricked me.

I’m pretty sure when my manager had “the talk” with me about the options severance was mentioned

Care to share any more information about why you think you were trucked?

Well. My manager has been pressuring me to quit for a while now. I assume he had pressure from corporate because I was an actual good partner. I know everyone swears the same but it is what it is. Over the last few months any time we had a connect he would say phrases to me such as “maybe it’s time to move on” “maybe this isn’t the best fit for you anymore” and other sly comments like that in all honesty for no reason. Anyway. Come June he tells me all the info and my mother is at risk so I had previously taken the leave and then came back with full hours but I took option 3 so I could minimize the risk of exposure to my mom. He assured me that I’d be getting the severance as well as being paid out for my next two weeks of scheduled shifts. Once my termination was finalized he called me to inform me that I would not be getting the severance or my hours paid out. I plan on returning to the company once the pandemic is over, I love Starbucks. But I’ve told this to a few of my co workers and they all think that I got screwed over. Hoping to see if others have had a similar experience. Thanks.

I would call PRC and talk to them. Did you get any of it in writing or will it be his word v. yours? Either way, I'd still call and explain what's going on. They might be able to do something. I'd try and pull together any hard evidence of your conversations with them and any proof you can find of being offered the severance.

That definitely doesn’t sound right. Did you take your manager at his word or did you follow up with your DM and / or PRC?
