Ok I’m having a total Karen moment....(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Arianasagapo
The Starbucks near my house CONSTANTLY gives me classic pumps instead of 4 sugars. As a barista I know I might sound obnoxious to someone else because i know the struggle and I know using classic instead of using the sugar packets is a lot faster when bar is busy...
But my name on the app is literally : Ariana- WHITE SUGARS
It’s actually really frustrating because I HATE asking for remakes because I know they’re annoying and they throw people out of their grooves but classic is actually so gross.
Ok rant over, sorry for sounding like a Karen.

that’s totally not okay for them to be using classic instead of sugar tho?? like I’m a stickler for by-standard drinks and if they’re doing that for everyone who orders sugars… they don’t taste the same… i fully encourage you to keep asking for remakes if they make it wrong. I encourage any of my customers to speak up if we make their drink wrong— YES it’s annoying to remake during peak but i should’ve made it to standard/order the first time so it’s my fault.

Like on a mobile order? I don’t get how that’s getting mixed up

Yeah it’s on a mobile order. For context, my drink says
Iced quad espresso Venti cup Extra ice 4 sugars
And they add classic rather than using the white sugar

The name change was a last resort after them constantly getting the order wrong. I’ll just ask for sugars on the side. I figured it’s annoying to be asked for things that could have been requested through the app (cause I know It’s annoying to be asked for things that could have just been requested through mobile while on a busy bar)
