Seriously. The people designing these things have never ever worked as a barista. And if the dividers are there for “our safety” then why didn’t they put them up months ago... they are literally doing it just to look good for customers.

Bar one though... annoying. Few ways to compensate for it though. Get a 5 tier syrup stand for the bar without access, put the essentials in it. As well as a chai and mocha beside & you're set!

It’s because if you’re double barring or DTO/DTRing you’re spending prolonged periods of time in very close proximity to one another which is proven to be a factor in the spread of coronavirus. That being said, the design is ridiculous and did not work between our two bars at all. I ended up putting it sideways behind the two bars as additional protection from customers breathing on us. So far our DM hasn’t made us move it.

My store got the ones between bars AND between DTO and DTW. I fucking hate them and they do absolutely fuckall

I make it a point to draw on them whenever I’m on bar or on DTO. If you’re going to put something stupid near me then expect my own stupidity to be reflected with hearts and badly drawn stick figures.

Just start jus reorganize so one is cold bar and blonde. Move a hot bar vanilla over.

We are going to be running three to four person peaks in a store where we need 7 people. We have these dividers in and open up tomorrow. It's going to be interesting.
