So I have been pretty sick for the past month with GI issues. I was throwing up for like a week straight and so my manager suggested I self-isolate and take cat pay while I figured out what was wrong with me. So I do. I don’t get to finish the 14 days though because he asks me to come back, but assures me I will get 10 days of cat pay. Well my check hits right now...and guess who didn’t get ANY cat pay?! My check had less than a week’s worth of hours on it. I just got a car and my first payment is due. I literally can not afford to “wait til my next check” to get paid for my sick time. Is there anything I can even do?? It’s taking everything in me not to draft up my 2 week notice right now.
