COVID-19 rant (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Month_Puzzleheaded
So I came to work this afternoon only to find out that one of the partners has been exposed to Covid-19, worked for a few hours this morning and suddenly decided to let the shift know. After an hour we found out the store manager knew about it but didn’t stop her from working. So now we all freaking out because she doesn’t want to closed the store or let us go home. My mom has cancer and I am in contact with her so I’m worry about it.

I got told by my store manager NOT to tell anyone about exposure. They waited 3 days for my results to come back POSITIVE. Then they closed for 2 days and deep cleaned. The only partners asked to self isolate where tje last set i worked with. ..... we ended up with 4 POSITIVES

My concern is that before they didn’t wait like now, they would call hazmat or whatever and have the store closed until they clean it. But they’re won’t and like both of you said nobody is/was supposed to find out so it makes me wonder if they’re saying everything is ok just so we don’t get more freak out and boycott the store or so. Of the 5 people the partner hangout 3 are positive and one still waiting and also works for another Starbucks and have been around someone from my team but he doesn’t want to say anything.

We had a borrowed partner work at our store last week. She just came back with a positive test. I overheard my manager on the phone with her manager but she hasn't said anything to the store yet or told any partners that worked with them.. I feel like she is waiting until someone from our store shows symptoms so she doesn't have to close and clean. I'm debating whether or not to make a big deal about it so she will just do it anyways. Only problem is I dont know if I could get enough partners on board so that it happens....
