Trash (self.starbucksbaristas)

Alright,
As many of you know Starbucks throws a lot away every night and it’s against Starbucks policy to take things home that are expiring. BUT. Starbucks policy states we must throw things in the trash at the end of the night or discard accordingly. So now I am identifying as trash and anything I take home is technically going into trash. Thank you-

Lol yeah I don’t think it ever says anything about throwing it in a store trash 🤷‍♂️

My store had 27 gallons of a mix of 2% and whole milks go out earlier this week when I was closing with my SM - she helped me carry them out to my car since I have 2 orphan goals and 4 orphan calves I’m caring for on my farm and lord knows I can use the milk.
Obviously not the norm for SMs but I really love my SM

I think that generally, trash is considered public domain for such situations. You intend not to own something by putting it in trash, and it is therefore not theft.
