the "improvise, adapt, overcome" comment made my day
dancing_durian [OP]4 points2y ago
Ahh! I’m glad! At least it doesn’t make me cringe like when my manager says ‘growth mindset’ XD
turnedtechGodhead3 points2y ago
,,,, growth mindset?? omg what
dancing_durian [OP]5 points2y ago
My former manager is obsessed with that phrase and it’s used a lot in that booklet about expectations for each leadership role. It’s required of every leader and it’s fair but he would always try to work it into conversation and it was annoying. Kinda like ‘Word Sneak’ with Jimmy Fallon but less fun. XD

GJ... but why TF can't people take care of stuff and put it where it belongs... which is what necessitated this... that always drove me nuts...

Anyone know how much those are? My manager told me, because they were kinda expensive considering it’s very thin paper. We were going through them a lot because certain people at my store always get grounds in the toddy..
dancing_durian [OP]1 points2y ago
They shouldn’t be too expensive because we order them freely whenever we need. The only thing I know that is considered ‘expensive’ and managers tend to hesitate to order are metal pumps. These filters are versatile though. I used them as tissue papers to wrap up retail cups for customers. XP
wtchtrsh2 points2y ago
I mean expensive for tissue paper. I think the pack of them is like $70. I work at a slow store and for a while there we were double filtering nearly every batch because some how people kept getting grounds outside the filters.. so next time you use these for tissue paper, consider each one $1.50. Hahah. Sorry you lost your lids. Hopefully the turn up.
dancing_durian [OP]4 points2y ago
Eeww, I didn’t know they were THAT expensive. Oh well, would I take a $1.50 so customers won’t yell at me for not having CB? You betcha. :P and I honestly don’t know how your partners manager to get grounds everywhere that often. Is it something in the way they brew that you can fix?
wtchtrsh2 points2y ago
I think they are just careless/sloppy, dumping water too fast so that the bag slips into the toddy. Easily avoidable for most.
